    • Was known to be rather strict. Every Sunday he would expect all of his sons to attend his house in their Sunday best to play cards in the afternoon. Even Robert Roy who lived in Ilminster some 60 miles away. He expected that the other brothers would contribute to the Blue Line coach company fare for this weekly meeting.
